The Basañez Group is one of the oldest forestry companies in the Basque Country. It also owns large tracts of hillside, although the provisioning of the Group sawmill, with a capacity for around 40,000 m3 of sawnwood per year, requires resorting to outside sources.    The Group also has two secondary processing plants with installations comprising the latest machinery and technology, for the manufacture of a long list of industrial products and finishes for general consumption.   The company therefore sees to everything, from the felling of the tree through reforestation and forest husbandry, and ending with the tree being converted into timber for domestic use. All by the same hand. The Basañez Group specialises in processing pinewood from Pinus Insignis (Pinus Radiata).
